Forum: forums Subject: Problem with books in DjVu format.

I tried to open some books in DjVu format, however the site directs me to a page with Java plugin, instead of opening the direct DjVu document (which can be handled in my browser with normal DjVu plugin).

1. open
2. There is a link to:
3. If you open it, you are redirected to:
4. However, the real address of the djvu document is:

Is there a way to set the site to avoid injecting that extra Java plugin (which is supposedly needed for those who don't have a real DjVu plugin)? Or at least to provide 2 links for each case. And by the way that Java plugin is hanging up my Firefox, while DjVu direct link works fine with djvulibre plugin.
Of course one can always manually extract the URL, but it's not optimal.

In order to avoid giving two links, it can be an option for the user in some site settings. Just a thought.

What you are saying makes sense, as there is already a “Read Online” link so those who want to stream the book can do it from there.

However, a simple workaround:

Just copy the pdf link from the left panel (“View the Book”). In it remove the last three letters (“pdf”) and replace it by “djvu”.
